Dissolve yeast in 0.5 cups of warm water, add 1 tsp of sugar, put in a warm place for 0.5 hours. Then mix everything, add flour to make a soft dough, knead in a deep bowl, cover with a towel and put in a warm place to rise. In order to cut the dough for pies, you need to put part of the dough on a floured board or on a large flat plate, form it into a sausage with a diameter of 3 - 4 cm, then cut it into pieces 2 - 3 cm long, roll them into balls and give them to distance in a warm place for 10 - 15 minutes. Then flatten the ball with your hands into a cake, put the filling and pinch the edges of the cake. Fry pies in vegetable oil or bake them in the oven. You can also make a pie from this dough.
